Lanesboro: A Minnesota Legacy Destination
Pick up the schedule of events at the Lanesboro Visitor Center

Lanesboro is named one of eleven Legacy
Destinations in Minnesota for 2011. The
community is drawing attention to and
celebrating their local resources and
organizations by offering Minnesota residents
and visitors an eclectic assortment of activities
demonstrating the impact of the Clean Water,
Land & Legacy Amendment approved by
Minnesota voters in 2008. Experience
Minnesota’s great outdoors, history and the arts.

Documentary Film - "Waste Land":
Presented by the Lanesboro Arts Center this film
follows renowned artist Vik Muniz as he
journeys from his home base in Brooklyn to his
native Brazil and the world’s largest garbage
dump. There he photographs an eclectic band
of “catadores” – self-designated pickers of
recyclable materials. Free-will donations.
