It's summertime in Lanesboro!

Whew, lots to do again this weekend as we continue to have beautiful weather! Check out some of the upcoming events... (of course, I favor the musician from my hometown-- Owatonna-- playing at Riverside on the Root tomorrow night!)

Poetry Reading:
Through her life, Ann Schultz has experienced much, and now she
wishes to express much. “Message in a Bottle”
is a collection of poetry from ninety-two year
old Ms. Schultz as she shares her experiences
through fine verse. Ann’s son-in-law, Ken
Panger will accompany the poetry reading on
the mandolin.

"Over the Back Fence" Community Variety Show:
This month's "Over the Back Fence"
theme is 'Solstice,' featuring local talent and
musical & other guests. Ticket sales and pre-
show music begin at 7:00 pm. The show will be
broadcast on KFIL radio 103.1fm on Sunday
nine days following the live performance.

Lanesboro Youth Mission Group Car Wash:
2011 Mission Camp Destination –
Wadena, MN. This is our one and only
fundraiser- a car wash! This will help us pay for
the gas and van rental which we need to join with
what God is already doing in Wadena, MN
following last year's tornado.

Wednesday Walk About :
Go behind the
scenes at the Commonweal Theatre and
Lanesboro Art Center to expose our wide world
of Art! Brought to you by Summer Reading,
Lanesboro Summer Rec., and a generous gift
of time by all local participants. Wear walking
shoes. Please have an adult accompany
children under 6 years of age. Advance sign-up
on rosters at the library, appreciated, group
size limited to first 25 participants.
