Spring Has Sprung!

We have put out our patio furniture today and it is going to be 75 degrees! Lots of people out on the bike trail today, the trail is open from Lanesboro to Whalen through June 1st!
Our eyes have been so hungry for the green, and the tulips are finally in bloom. There are buds on the trees and a carpet of green under our feet! Come join us in celebrating spring!

Attention all pedal pushers!

 The state bike trails are open and we have been having 70 plus weather all week! Rooms are filling up as we see spring fever starting to hit the many tourists and cyclists alike. Shops and local restaurants have opened, and there is so much to do in this charming little community during this lovely spring weather. Now till the end of March come book with us on a week night, stay two nights and your third is free!! You won't want to leave with so much to do.

Winter Wonderland!

Well, winter finally decided to show up in Minnesota! Last week we were blanketed with snow. It is so beautiful here in the valley when everything is all snowy and white! I dusted off my skis and took my dog Stella on the trail. It was great to be outside!

We are excited for Feb 4 when they light part of the trail with candles! Ohhhh, how romantic or fun for a group of girls! We will be out there enjoying the scene and the fresh air! Come join us!

well, the weather outside is....DELIGHTFUL!

Can you believe this weather we have been having? I can't! It makes me want to grab my fly rod, my bike, my kayak, my tent, all of it and go outside!! This weekend while wondering around the bike trail, we ran into bikers, hikers and horses! In JANUARY! In MINNESOTA! Last year at this time it was 22 degrees, yesterday it was 50 with sunshine! Here are a few snapshots from the trail...

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year from all of us at Coffee Street Inn! We have been blessed to have had a fantastic 2011 and we are looking forward to an exciting 2012! It is now time to relax and de-stress from the Holiday Season. It may be a little quiet in Lanesboro these days, but these are the days that the locals enjoy the most. We get to relax and enjoy our town and the people in it a little more often. These days, I am praying for snow though...the bike trail is just too inviting! But it's just too cold out to bike! I'm ready to try out my new cross country skis....bring on the snow!

With the temperatures dropping and no snow, I find myself in the kitchen a little more. Last night, I baked up some homemade granola and chocolate cookies. Hard to believe I made sweets after a very sweet month of December, but I couldn't resist!

Warm weather and sunshine...in December? In Minnesota?

To say the least, I have been soaking up the sun and warm weather! I can't believe it's December in Minnesota! Yesterday, the dogs and I wandered around on the trail and soaked up the sun! We even ran into some bikers! Here are some photos from our day.
